FAQs

Who is eligible for a National Disability Card?

If you have a physical or mental impairment that has a ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’ negative effect on your ability to do normal daily activities then you are eligible.

What do ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’ mean?

‘Substantial’ is more than minor or trivial; ‘long-term’ means 12 months or more.

What documentation is required to apply for a National Disability Card?

We ask applicants to send us one piece of evidence that shows that they have a disability. Examples of documentation accepted include the back of your Blue Badge; Disabled persons' Freedom Pass; Disabled persons' Bus Pass; a letter from your doctor or other relevant medical letter; Disability Living Allowance (DLA) decision letter; War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement letter; Personal Independence Payments (PIP) letter; or other relevant document showing you are disabled​. Don't worry if you don't have any of the documents listed; we're here to assist. Feel free to submit any relevant documentation that includes your name and disability status. If you’re not sure whether you have the right documentation, please contact us and we will do our best to help you.

How much does the National Disability Card cost?

Each card costs £20, and you can add a spare card to your order for £10. The shipping cost is £1.95. If your application is rejected you will automatically receive a full refund. We accept all major debit and credit cards as well as Google and Apple Pay.

Can I use my National Disability Card to get a Disneyland Paris Priority Card?
